I'm a PhD student in electrical engineering at the Johns Hopkins University. Above, my wife, Emily, and I prepare to pontificate on something profoundly important. Admittedly, this webpage is extraordinarily ugly, but my purpose was to allow long lost friends to Google for me rather than design something slick and sexy. With this goal oriented view of design in mind, I think the page is a success. In the meantime, I've been doing some interesting research in medical image analysis, though, with a focus on anatomical magnetic resonance (MR) images of the brain. My early efforts concentrated primarily on skull stripping, but more recently, I've been making headway into deformable registration methods and cerebellar labeling. Below is a nice looking pic of the kinds of things we like to put in papers.
